Carolyn's Story
Most of Carolyn's upper teeth were either missing or non-restorative. Carolyn and I discussed her various options. Fortunately, Carolyn had sufficient, good quality bone, enabling us the option of placing an implant-supported, screw-retained fixed bridge.Treatment, cost and alternatives were carefully explained. A diagnostic wax-up and clear transfer were made so Carolyn was able to visualize, in her mouth, how the bridge would appear. Once all questions were answered, treatment began.
The upper teeth were removed and an upper denture was inserted. Utilizing advanced, computer-guided Simplant technology and a CT-image, we designed the bridge and the ideal position for the dental implants. A stereolithic template was made enabling us the ability to place the implant abutments in the ideal position and angulation.
Carolyn continued to wear her upper denture while the implants were integrating into the bone. Once the bone adjacent to the implants grew against and fused to the implants, impressions were taken.
When completed, the bridge was screwed into place. Adjustments were made to enhance lip-support, aesthetics and function. Carolyn is delighted with her new smile.
Her teeth look great and feel natural.
